Good workout and cleanout!

I cleaned, sweeped and packed the PE room together with our new CCPE, Krystin for 3 hours today. It was so tiring and full of sweat.

The PE room was so dusty and dirty. I found lots of new equipments which no one has used before. What a waste! I'm gonna start using some of them for my lessons soon! Put them in good use!

I feel fulfilled.

By the way, I've booked my Bangkok and Taiwan trip for June! Really looking forward to that... Yet, I'm a bit unsettled for now. Will everything work out fine? Will I be able to get leave? Will Eunice and MK be able to join us? Was I too impulsive?

I just want to sleep now....

Jogging

Finally went for a jog after so many failed attempt. Ran for 25 minutes non stop and then walked to cool down for 5 minutes. I guess I really don't really enjoy jogging. People said you'll feel relaxed and fresh after jogging. Why do I feel so sleepy and tired after just 30 minutes? Hmmm... I really wonder what is gonna happen when I go for the Sundown Marathon.

I am feeling really tired. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually. Give me a break!

Updates...

Had to set paper.. But yet I can't get myself to start on it. So here I am to give an update on what had happened recently.

I was pretty tired with work lately. The amount of work in school is piling and never seemed to end. I was reminded of the days when I first started out in 2003, with full of energy each day and enjoying every single moment of it. Those days of fulfillment soon faded away with the disappointments and hiccups in life.

Indeed, God is never early and He will never be late. He is always on time. I was really thankful to God for giving me encouragement and a strong boost of energy when I got my performance bonus. I was shocked. Shocked for words, really. It wouldn't be possible if not for His grace and wisdom. This kind of reminded me that God is watching everything that I do and His reward is in due season. I just got to keep giving my best in all that I do. No slackening. Of course, I must thank those who fought for me to justify my contributions.

Well, with this performance bonus, I finally gave Eunice and MK a long awaited treat on MK's birthday. They had really blessed me a lot when I was going through a tough period in life. After CGM, we went to Villa Bali, together with Merf and Ken to chill. It was a relaxing day of just sitting around and talking nonsense, laughing and joking around. Although nothing serious was discussed, I felt that it was great fellowship. For me, nothing beats spending time with friends in a relax mode.

On Saturday, I planned to jog at East Coast Park with Ken and GML. When I was about to set off, it rained heavily. So well, there goes our workout plan again. So in the end, Ken and I went to Starbucks at East Coast to do our work. We then proceeded to OLD TOWN for a sumptuous dinner. Really delicious food! It's really finger licking good. Check out the photos.

My prawn noodles...

Ken's Asam Laksa...

And our curry chicken with glutinous rice...

There you see it, now you don't!

Did you see how clean our bowls and plates were? That's how nice the food is! Really a good place to go for makan! After that we went to Marina Square to browse around. We ended up at Suntec Carrefour and I bought two 6kg dumbbells while Ken bought a 10kg dumbbell. So we lugged it all the way from Suntec back to Marina Square where he parked his car. It was.... MADNESS! A good workout though. I perspire like I'd just ran 10km. Hahaha. It was a great day spent.

Doing some financial budgeting now to see if I can afford to get a new TV and Wii. Really hope I can. But maybe I shouldn't. I am saving up for Taiwan trip this June.

It's work week again!!!

...Random...

Had a beautiful evening spent with three colleagues yesterday. We went for KBox buffet at Kallang Leisure Park. 4 Hours passed by super fast. We didn't have enough food and singing. It was great company. Wouldn't mind going again.

Today was a slacking day. I slept the whole day with some time in between to read a book. Finally get to talk to a friend on msn. Feels happy about the progress.

Finally got out of bed to do some work. Clicking the SAVE button got my document erased because of some error in my thumbdrive. I'm hating myself for saving it in my thumbdrive. Should have saved it in my lappy directly. Well, too late for regrets. I can't find it anywhere else. Even the recovery document sucks big time. No point having that. I better make a trip down to school and pray hard that the document was saved in my school lappy.

Where are my hugs??

I used to be a hugging queen. Simply love hugs from my friends. Ever since the day I stepped down from leadership, I know my life will never be the same again. Indeed, since then, the number of hugs decreased until now there's totally none. I guess adults are more conservative and uncomfortable to hug. Nowadays I also don't feel so comfortable hugging anyone.

I miss those days when I was so comfortable to hug all my ex members when we meet and before we went our separate ways. I miss those days when I hugged my best friend and cried my heart out (actually only once after I got scolded during an overnight prayer meeting). I miss the day when I was so tired that I hugged someone and fell asleep on that person..

What spark off such an entry? Well, had a long meeting today. Lots of things to do and get ready for Term 2. I'm feeling tired. Really felt like hugging someone then...

Can't stop laughing..

On 11th March 2009...

A: Good morning everyone, Meeting room is booked from 9 to 10 am on 18 March 1980 for our meeting with the OBS instructors.

On 16th March 2009...

I replied: Hahaha.. I just realised something funny in this email... The meeting room was booked for 28 years ago... I won't be there. Not even born yet! Hahahaha!

On 17th March 2009...

Ha ha ha ha.... A, I think you really need to change your spectacle. I suspect the optician is the same as the crazy dentist that implanted some funny things into people's teeth and make them act funny. 1980, what are you thinking? Are you born in that year? Ha ha ha.. can't stop laughing when I read Jiahui's email. But I will definitely be there. However, I must go and find Doraemon to see whether I can borrow the time machine. Don't know whether I can contribute much cause that year I only 7 year old leh!

lots of laugh

Feeling old...

Yesterday was a fulfilling day. Met 27 parents. Was really glad that everything went well. No complaints from parents. Thank God.

After that, I went for dinner and a drink with colleagues. We had a good time at Paulagner. I drank 2 glasses of 0.5l of light beer and 1 glass of long island tea. The long island tea knocked me off and caused me to vomit twice when I got home. The vomit BURNT my throat.

Grrrrr... I feel so sick still. Feel so old man. Maybe it's time to cut down on drinking.

Sick.

Oooo.. I just watched the lower primary kids gathered for their singing of national anthem before dismissal. Impressed by the P2 leader who led gave commands. Impressed by their singing-They really sang with pride. Cool!

Yeah.. You are probably right. I'm still in school at this time and I'm feeling sick. Went out for lunch and came back a little feverish and runny nose. Must be the bad weather. Pretty happy that I don't have to meet the kids tomorrow but have to meet their parents. For my past few years of teaching, the parents I met had been nice and understanding. Hope everything will be smooth and sweet this time round too.

Every time I msn a friend, this friend will go offline. I'm so tempted to try to msn again and see if it's a coincidence or it's on purpose. But well, maybe ignorance is bliss. Just that something inside of me tells me not to give up. Hmmm...

Changed.

Yup! By now you would have realised that I've changed blogskin. Still in the midst of transisting some things to my new blogskin. No. I'm not very free. I just can't stand the fact that my blog always hang. Searched for a few skins... but all can't seem to fit my screen perfectly.

So well, this is the best that I can get.

Tired.

Fri:
Had outdoor cooking with the boys' brigade. It was terrible having to handle all the kids.. The main officer brought the P6 boys out to Geylang Methodist and I didn't know the normal procedures to outdoor cooking. So, everything was in a mess. Anyway, it turns out disorganised but fine. Very tiring having to walk around and ensure that everything was fine and clearing up the mess. We exceeded our CCA time. So got to bring all the equipments back to the room ourselves without the help of the boys. I must learn to manage my time well (Kids love to ask me lots of questions about God during our devotion time).

After all the sweat and toil, I had dinner at East Coast food centre with a few colleagues. I simply hate the waiting and ungraceful Singaporeans. Nevertheless, we had a great time of fellowshiping and relaxing there. Went to Coffee Bean after that and chatted till 12.30 midnight.

Sat:
Woke up at 6am to get ready for the East Zone sports carnival. Reached there at about 7.20am and ran 2.4km at 7.30am. I took 13+min to complete. Not too bad I thought, consider that I didn't run for a LONG time. It rained as soon as I'd completed my run. Slacked around and waited for other colleagues to complete their walk test then went for lunch with 3 colleagues. Got back home and slept from 1.30pm to 6pm. That was how tired I was.

Then I went out to meet Terry to celebrate his birthday at KBox. Sang till 11.30pm and went for supper till about 12.45 midnight.

Sun:
Woke up at 7.30am and went for the Boys' Brigade service at Chen Li Presbyterian Cburch. After that rushed down to Expo for my own service. After service, went to Popeyes at Singapore Flyer for lunch and I took a cab home. Slept from 3pm till 6pm. I'm seriously worn out.

The late nights and the early rise and shine for the past few days had caused me to feel sick and weak in my body. This morning I felt a sore throat and fever rising. However, after the Holy Communion, I felt better (must be the healing power of God). In addition, the muscle aches from the 2.4km run is telling me that I need a rest badly. From the muscle aches, I am sure that running helps burn the fats in all parts of the body. I am going to start my running regime in the March holidays. Hoping to be trained up for the 10km Adidas Sundown Marathon in May.

This coming week is the last week of Term 1. There are so many things to mark, file, teach, plan and implement. I hope I can last through this last week. The joy of the Lord is my strength!

*Depending on His strength to carry me through.

Malacca Trip

Went Malacca with my colleagues last Saturday. Was pretty disappointed because we didn't get to eat really authentic and nice Nonya food and Nonya Kueh. Anyway, took quite a number of pictures. So please enjoy!

This is the place where we had our lunch. Disappointing food. What a waste of making the place so nice but yet my mum cooks better than them.

The shop that sells very nice pineapple tarts. We should have been there before CNY.

The giant pineapple tart outside the shop was said to be replaced with new ones every 3 months.

Look at the dark clouds. Thank God it didn't rain that day. If not, it would really dampen our already low spirits.

This is Yue-Niang's house! Too bad the museum was closed when we reached.

The 4 of us explored Jonker Street on our own and found some consolation to our dampening trip...

Our delight! This shop sells very nice Chendol and Laksa.

The chendol and laksa with tuna. Nice!

The so-called famous chicken rice ball that's not so nice... Tasteless in fact.

After dinner at 7pm, we immediately rushed back to Singapore. Still got back to Singapore at 12.30 midnight. Tiring trip. Thank God for friends!
